DESPERADO CHECK LIST 2003
SALT GRASS TRAIL ASSOCIATION MEMBERSHIP-$40
Call Salt Grass Trail Association and request a
membership card, fill it out and mail it
to them along with a check of $40. Mandatory.
DESPERADO TRAIL RIDE FEE- $30
This covers 23 great meals, feed and hay for
your horse, beer and drinks on the ride and around camp. (Hard
liquor not included, bring your own.)
SADDLE SLICKER- about $25 plus $20 for logo
Buy a yellow rain saddle slicker at a western
store or Academy. Give it to Peggy or Joe Bennett and they will paint the
Desperado logo on the back. Joe10227@aol.com
PLACE TO SLEEP- Campfire/sleeping bag or motor
home for week about $300
Rent a motor home with a minimum of 4 to 6 on a
home due to the limited amount of camping space that we are given. If you
need someone to go in with you, contact Paul Dumphey
dunpheyaa@aol.com .Others bring a tent. No vehicles for less than 4.
RENT A HORSE-varies
If you need a horse, the cost includes a horse,
tack, transportation to and from the ride, shots, Coggins papers, vet
certificate and non-skid horse shoes. Email Charles Bruce, crbruce@mindspring.com
DESPERADO CLOTHING (YOU MUST HAVE)
Western jeans, white shirt, denim shirt, western
belt and buckle, boots, hat, 2 Desperado bib shirts, red and
natural colored, red and blue bandanas. Contact Pat Danke asap to order
these last 2 shirts. Also 1 day of "old west" clothing. danke@patdahnke.com
LABEL EVERYTHING WITH YOUR NAME. PUT IN SOFT BAG. Everyone’s clothes look alike. Storage space is limited on a motor home. No hard luggage please.
